From Snow to Rain, What's Going on Now?

Between the weather averaging well below freezing, and considerable amounts of snow being dumped across the state. To heavy rain, and unseasonably warm weather later on in the week, Can Connecticut just make up its mind for once?By Preston Hazard

So, our December starts out with days topping off at unseasonably low temperatures, then dropping off a substantial amount of snow across the state. A little extream, but nothing necessarily out of the ordinary for late fall/winter time in Connecticut. But this is where it starts to get weird. As early as Monday of next week, we could top off at nearly sixty degrees in Hartford.
Granted that should only last two days before it becomes more "wintery" with the possibility of snow on Wednesday. I know I'll be enjoying a much-needed reprieve from the "sub-zero" temperature.

Lewis Mills Playing Final Football Game, and Cade is Out.

Its Lewis Mills final game and Cade is out for obvious reasons...By Preston Hazard
November 21st, 20195:45 pm EST   I'm here at Dillon Stadium in Hartford Connecticut, where the Lewis Mills Spartans are less then half an hour from playing their last game of the season.   I spoke to Lewis Mills head coach, John Oko about the team's goal for the game.   "Just keep the ball out of the endzone. We have a really good defense, so let's keep the ball out of the endzone."

What's in store for Tomorrow's Game.

By Preston Hazard
November 20th, 20194:00 pm EST While the Lewis S. Mills football season is winding down for the year, the team isn't ready to throw in the towel just yet.
We attempted to interview the school's varsity coach, John Oko, but the team had just begun the day's practice, and he was unable to comment on his hopes for tomorrows ending results. None the less, I was able to talk to a few of the players, and the overwhelming response from them is that they hope to end the season with the best game possible.
Tomorrow's game will take place at Dillon Stadium in Hartford Connecticut, and will be against Capital Preparatory Magnet School, whose record is 2-7.
The team's official Twitter profile has yet to comment on tomorrow's game.

As we all know, the Lewis Mills Football season is coming to a close. The team will be playing their final game againstCapital Preparatory Magnet School, away at Dillon Stadium. But before the season is over, the team will be putting on their annual Community Bonfire. The event will be held at Foote Road in Burlington Ct, and the whole event will be sponsored by the Burlington Lions Club. The weather should be in the mid to upper 30s, so be sure to bring a light jacket.
Here's what the team said about the event on their official twitter:
Join us at Foote Rd on Weds. 11/20, 7pm for the 10th annual Community Bonfire sponsored by the Burlington Lions Club. Cheer on your Spartans as we head into our final game vs. Capital Prep on Thurs. 11/21 #GoMillspic.twitter.com/Alv6nc16uh — Lewis Mills FootballčĆł (@LSMFootball1) November 18, 2019

While it's still far away, there is a small chance that we could be seeing snow on our front lawn this weekend when we wake up. For many of us, it's the answer to the past week of uncertain, overcast, and often freezing temperatures.

Lewis Mills Girls Soccer finishes out season with a loss against Plainfield High School

By Preston Hazard November 18th, 2019 5:50 pm EST The girls played just about as hard as one could in the conditions they were in...  With the windchill factor putting the overall temperature into the teens, the girls did just about all one could do in those sort of conditions. They had played so well throughout the season, and only missed the cut by one point at last Saturday's game. The LSM season ended with a game ending with a score of 1-0.
